Deborah Scott

Deborah (Debbie) Scott – Program Director / B2B Instructor, has over 30 years of experience as a financial and operations leader in industry, and used this experience to provide business coaching services to small businesses through workshops and one-on-one counseling. As the former Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Mississippi State University, she mentored both veterans and spouses interested in starting or expanding a business and was recognized as the Mississippi SBDC State Star for her work with small business startups. She actively collaborated with the Veterans Business Outreach Center at MSU as an instructor for the Boots to Business program. Prior to the SBDC, Debbie was President of an $80M IT Services/Training Development company with over 700 employees in 42 states, doing business with the government. She also understands the challenges of being a military spouse; she chose entrepreneurship vs employment when she opened her own accounting business serving small businesses while stationed at Ft Knox. Her military family tradition continues as both children are officers in the Army and USAF respectively.
