Miriam Ortiz - Program Coordinator - Miriam Ortiz grew up in a military family in Southern Arizona, where she developed the values of service, adaptability, and resilience. She later proudly became an Army Military Spouse, continuing a life of service while traveling and living throughout the northern United States. Miriam gained valuable business experience working at her family's authentic Mexican restaurant, where she built a strong foundation in customer service, business operations, and small-business management. She earned a degree in Dental Radiology before pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration.
In January 2022, Miriam joined the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) as a Program Coordinator, where she combines her diverse background in business, public service, and community engagement to support aspiring and established entrepreneurs.
Today, Miriam is passionate about empowering veterans, service members, military spouses, and entrepreneurs by connecting them with the resources, education, and guidance they need to start, grow, and successfully manage their businesses. She is committed to helping clients transform their ideas into thriving businesses while strengthening the communities they serve.
